RHP, the quality mark for substrates and raw materials

All Tref substrates carry the RHP certificate as securing the customer a uniform quality product every single time.

The RHP quality mark for substrates is issued by the Stichting RHP (RHP Foundation), the leading centre of expertise on substrates and soil-improving materials in Europe, and is granted to traders, producers and importers of peat products, raw materials, potting soil mixtures and substrates. The RHP quality mark has been developed by the RHP Foundation to guarantee the products' quality throughout the entire production chain, from extraction from their source to processing by the buyer.
 

Quality guarantee

The RHP quality mark constitutes the basis for watertight agreements with substrate suppliers concerning the quality requirements with which a substrate must comply. An independent organization performs checks for compliance with these agreements, so that growers can rest assured that the supplied substrate will be of perfect quality.
 

Uniform product

The stringent requirements with which substrates bearing the RHP quality mark must comply translates into every grower using RHP-approved substrates will know that the products will not deviate from the specifications in an inadmissible manner. So no matter what season; Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring, you can be reassured that the quality of an RHP-approved substrate will be the same.
 

Crop Insurance

Insurance companies often refer to the RHP-quality mark when dealing with crop insurance as for them, RHP certification is a sound guarantee often rewarded with attractive premiums for you.
 

Limited risk factors

As the RHP Foundation's quality assurance system covers the entire production chain, risk factors are excluded at a very early stage to leave absolutely nothing to chance.
 

Integration with other quality marks

Other quality assurance systems also demand certified substrates, such as QualiTree, a quality guarantee assurance system for buyers of arboricultural products. Participation in this quality system is subject to the RHP seal of approval. Developments in the consumer market will probably result in future additional requirements in the field of substrates.  The RHP quality assurance system will integrate these additional requirements into the assurance system of the future.
 

Certificate

Jiffy has a quality system in place, conforming to the norms of the NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2000 quality control system applicable to the following activities: Production, Trade, Transportation and Development of substrates and related horticultural products. The certificate has been granted by ECAS B.V.
